Limp Bizkit lead singer, Fred Durst, loved George Michael, but supposedly George Michael hates Limp Bizkit's cover of the song "Faith" and hates the band for doing it.
Limp Bizkit performed their cover of "Faith" the 1987 #1 hit by George Michael, and fans loved it. Regardless of it's success at live shows producer, Ross Robinson, did not want them to record the cover for their debut album,
Three Dollar Bill, Yall$.
However, after he heard the recorded version with heavier guitars and drum beat with a little DJ scratching he really liked how it turned out.
"I love George Michael and decided to cover 'Faith' for fun. We like to do really aggressive versions of cheesy pop hits," Limp Bizkit lead singer, Fred Durst, told Billboard. "I didn't expect him to get busted in that bathroom but his misfortune actually helped us. We couldn't ask for more of a buzz."
Limp Bizkit guitarist, Wes Borland, said in an interview once that George Michael, writer of the song, hated the cover and hated Limp Bizkit for doing it.
