"Angry Chair" was the third single from Alice in Chains' 1992 album
Dirt.
It reached #27 on the Alternative Songs chart and #34 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
Lead singer, Layne Staley wrote the song about his time in the timeout chair. Whenever he was bad his dad would put him in the chair facing a mirror.
Not only did Staley do a stellar job on the lyrics, but he also stepped up his guitar game and played on the song.

Alice In Chains performed an acoustic version of "Angry Chair" on MTV Unplugged, though it was omitted from the actual show that aired on MTV.
