WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -- A Wausau man accused of circulating naked photos of an ex-girlfriend will now face penalties from a separate 2015 case due to violating terms of the plea agreement.
Michael Hake had deferred charges of forgery and felony bail jumping nullified on Tuesday as he faces new charges of posting or publishing photos without the owner's consent and unlawful use of a computerized communication system with the intent to threaten. The latest charges stemming from an incident this summer.
The case involves a group message shared on the social media application Snapchat that Hake allegedly used to show a group of his friends a nude photo of his ex. She was made aware of it and reported it to police in Edgar along with threatening text messages sent from Hake.
The messages stated that he would release the photos if she didn't give him the tickets to a concert the two had planned to attend together, saying he "could probably sell [the photos]."
Hake's ex-girlfriend saved the messages and submitted them as evidence in the case, which was originally filed back in April.
No further court action against Hake has been set in either case. Hake's previous sentencing agreement had called for him to stay out of trouble for three full years.
