This is the first time the convention has been held in Stevens Point in over ten years. Hertle explains why the Bureau chose Stevens Point to hold the event this year. "They get to showcase what Stevens Point has to offer. And I know there are several different breweries and spirits businesses that they will be highlighted to us. So I think the combination of the facility and the host, and the opportunity to enjoy Stevens Point."
She says the conference can also be important for regular residents to see how the industry is bringing more people to the state. "It's an opportunity to really highlight all the wonderful things that are happening in the tourism industry. And how to bring even more tourism to the state of Wisconsin."
