MARSHFIELD, WI (WSAU) -- The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction released accountability ratings for schools across Wisconsin earlier this week; and according to superintendent Dr. Ryan Christianson the Marshfield School District has received an overall rating of 75.

"Each fall the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction issues accountability report cards," Christianson explained.  "The School District of Marshfield received an overall score of 75.0.  Which falls in the category of 'exceeds expectations,' and that was for the 2017-18 year."

The information helps parents know how schools are doing, according to Christianson.

"The report cards present key information related to outcomes for students as measured by statewide assessments, attendance, staying in school, and high school completion," Christianson explained.  "The school report cards are designed to help parents and educators understand how their school is doing, as well as where it can improve to help all children learn, advance to the next grade."

Report cards for any of the individual schools in Marshfield are posted on the district's website home page at https://www.marshfieldschools.org/
