FRIENDSHIP, WI (WSAU) -- The human remains found in Adams County in mid-October have been identified.
The Adams County Sheriff Office released a statement on Thursday through their Facebook page that the human remains found in the Town of Monroe are those of William J. Sheeran. Sheeran went missing back in June of 2017.
No criminal activity is suspected in Sheeran's death. The Adams County Sheriff's Office, the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Wisconsin State Crime Lab, and the Adam's County Medical Examiner's Office processed the area the remains were found in.
No further information is being released at this time.
