WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -- Marathon County Crimestoppers are asking for the public's help to solve a theft in the Town of Guenther last November.
A hunter reported having several weapons stolen from his pickup including a Barnett Whitetail Hunter Crossbow and a Mosin Nagant M44 Carbine Rifle.
According to the report, the owner of the vehicle had parked it near the intersection of Ledebuhr Road and County Forest 505 Road while they were hunting.
A pair of bolt cutters was also stolen from the vehicle. The value of the stolen goods is estimated to be $850.
The rifle was a 1945 model with light colored wood and a foldable bayonet on the barrel. It was in a hard gray rifle case. The crossbow was a camo Barnett Whitetail Hunter with a standard optic.
