WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) -- A former Wausau firefighter accused of sexually assaulting a woman in the back of an ambulance will stand trial in September
Clifford Heiser is accused of committing the crime while helping transport the woman to an area hospital. The 34-year-old faces two felony counts of sexual assault and misconduct and two misdemeanor sexual assault charges in the case.
Court records indicate Heiser was arrested after a DNA test found his saliva on the woman's breast. He resigned his position with the department shortly after the accusations came down.
He previously entered a not guilty plea to the charges.
Heiser will return to court in June for a motion hearing. The four-day trial is set to begin on September 17th.
