HAMBURG, WI (WSAU-WAOW) A small cheese-making operation in Marathon County will close its doors.
Bletsoe's Cheese Factory, which employs eight people in Hamburg, did not have an exact closing date.
Co-owner Jackie Bletsoe told WAOW-TV there were a number of factors contributing to the decision, including FDA requirements, aging equipment and that they only have one cheesemaker. Bletsoe also said they've had trouble finding employees to work there.
The Bletsoe’s have owned the factory since the early 1980s.
